hereornot?
Anonymous mail for the uncertain.

A pseudonymous mailbox with end-to-end encryption. Three ways to talk: email anyone on the site, chat 1-on-1 with connected users (real-time, E2E), or yell into the global public room. Optional public bio if you want to be findable — selling something, looking for friends, making noise into the void.

adds a standalone launcher on Android & desktop. on iOS: Safari share → Add to Home Screen.

end-to-end encryption
  • direct messages — server-blind
  • file attachments — ciphertext only
  • public bio & avatar — not encrypted (by design)
  • your pseudonym — public, that's how people reach you
what we don't do
  • no email or phone required
  • no tracking scripts, analytics, or ads
  • no password recovery via email
  • no follower counts, likes, or social graph

how it works

  1. Register. Pick a pseudonym and password. Your browser generates a keypair; the private key is encrypted with your password before leaving the device.
  2. Save your 12-word recovery phrase. It's the only way back in if you forget your password.
  3. Write to anyone on the site. Encryption happens in your browser using their public key.
  4. Attach files with a chosen expiry, from 1 hour to 30 days.
